Terms and Conditions

All Sales are subject to the following Terms. Failing to read these terms and conditions, accidentally or intentionally, does not void or nullify the information hereinafter:

Definitions

• Full Refund and Return (FRR): compensation amounting to 100% including the cost of the animal plus shipping plus return shipping costs (unless Seller does not desire for animal to be returned, such as if the animal died in shipping).

  • Alternatively, the Seller can send an acceptable, agreed-upon replacement at their own expense.

• Claim Period: Time period which Buyer has from delivery to contact Stephens Reptiles and make their claims. Evidence should be included with the claim.

• Non-Return Compensation (NRC): If Buyer refuses to return the animal, Seller does not have to provide a refund.

• Stephens Reptiles (hereinafter "We")

Guarantees

Payments, Deposits and Refunds

• Deposits are non-refundable if Buyer backs out of a deal. Any amount paid by Buyer in the ongoing transaction is considered a non-refundable deposit.

• If Stephens Reptiles backs out of a deal that Buyer has paid money into, Seller is responsible to pay back 100% of the money, including any portion labeled as non-refundable. Seller must also refund any additional amounts paid by Buyer for the shipping label.

• If we fails to ship the order for more than 7 days after final/full payment and do not communicate that delay (e.g., weather conditions) to the Buyer, then the we may forfeit all rights to any non-refundable portions and owe the Buyer a 100% refund if/when they ask for it.

• Buyers are expected to promptly respond to communications from Stephens Reptiles, particularly when a shipping date has been agreed upon for an animal. If the buyer remains unresponsive for a period of 5 days or more, then we have the right to consider the buyer's lack of communication as an indication of the buyer's desire to back out of the transaction. Deposits are non-refundable.

Animal Attributes

• We guarantee that the animal being delivered is exactly the one represented in the ad, unless otherwise stipulated in the ad with the use of an official Example Photo.

  • If we ship the wrong animal as proven by Buyer, Stephens Reptiles is responsible for FRR if we cannot send out the original animal. If we can ship out the original animal, we are responsible for all additional shipping fees, both the new animal shipment and the return of the other.

  • Claim Period is 4 hours and Return Period is 1 week.

• We guarantee for recessive genetic traits listed. Due to the complexity of multiple gene combination, on a rare occasion there is a small chance for mistakes on incomplete dominant traits. We take many precautions to make sure all traits are correctly identified and only list incomplete dominant traits that we clearly see.

  • Buyer bears a responsibility to know and recognize traits they intend to purchase, including asking for more pictures and lineage information as needed.

• We guarantee the sex of the animal being delivered, unless clearly stated on the ad that the sex is unknown or not certain.

  • If we ship a wrongly-sexed animal as proven by the Buyer, we will provide FRR.

  • Claim Period is 48 hours and Return Period is 1 week.

• SoL for issues involving Animal Attributes is 48 hours from the date and time the animal was received.

Shipping/Animal Health

• We guarantee the animal was shipped out in a healthy state and shipped according to all FedEx rules and regulations.

  • We are responsible for shipping delays and mishaps. If an animal dies or is lost due to an unforeseeable shipping mishap, we are responsible for FRR.

    • This does not include issues caused by the buyer (e.g., wrong address given, door not answered when delivery is attempted, etc.).

  • Claim Period is 1 hour from date/time delivered and Return Period is 1 week. The delivery time is noted on your FedEx receipt.

  • We highly recommend recording a video on your phone as soon as you pick up the package of you opening up the box. Clearly show in the video this shipping label I have always done this as a precaution for any live animal I have received in the mail. If there ever were to be an issue with the delivery this is the best evidence you could provide.

• Although we are always willing to help and figure out any complications that arise after you have received your animal, we are not responsible for the following :

  • Animal Temperament

  • Refusing to Eat

  • Failure to Thrive – Buyer cannot hold Stephens Reptiles responsible if a baby animal dies or fails to thrive despite eating (either voluntarily or being force)

General Terms

1. We maintain the discretion to decline sales to any purchaser, for any reason.

2. Stephens Reptiles is not responsible for any Veterinary expenses incurred by the buyer for animals purchased from us. Any veterinary care is the sole responsibility of the buyer.

Payment Plans

1. We offer Payment Plans on purchases of $300 or more. No payment plans for auctions or sale animals. Deposits for Payment Plans are 30% of the total purchase price plus shipping cost and is nonrefundable. The balance is to be paid in full within 60 days of the initial deposit payment. Shipping to be completed within 30 days of receipt of final payment being received, weather permitting. If no additional payments are received within 30 days of the deposit payment, and every 30 days after each payment your reserved choice will be placed back for sale and the Payment Plan will be considered void.
